What is the Edina Communications NationBuilder Editor Tool?

It is an AI tool for editing NationBuilder websites. Edina Communications built it. We are a British political consultancy and we have worked on NationBuilder since 2016. The tool gives Claude controlled access to a nation, so anyone on a campaign team can build and edit pages simply by describing them. We use it on every campaign we run.

Which AI does it use?

Claude, made by Anthropic. Any general assistant will write you NationBuilder copy, ChatGPT included. None of them can carry out the work inside your nation. This one does the work, then reads it back to prove it landed.

What can it do in NationBuilder?

• Pages. Pages, petitions, surveys, events, volunteer signups and ticket levels.
• Design. Templates, styling, sliders, images and site settings, each saved as a draft.
• Email. Blasts, automations and membership welcomes, drafted but never sent.
• The nation itself. Maps it, backs it up to your own computer and learns its tags and fields.
• Testing. Walks the site as an ordinary visitor, completes forms and checks what arrives.

Is it safe to use AI on a live NationBuilder nation?

Yes. It can build and change pages. It cannot reach your supporters, email them, or remove anything.

• It cannot read, write or export supporter records.
• It cannot email your supporters. People send and schedule in NationBuilder, and test messages reach only our own mailboxes.
• It cannot delete a page. It hides them instead, and you can undo that.
• It cannot publish a theme to a live public site.

The limits are absolute. Nobody directing the tool can lift them. The worst that can happen is a page that needs editing again.

How does it work?

You give an instruction in ordinary English. The tool carries out the work inside NationBuilder, reads back what changed to confirm it, and hands you the address of the page. It needs one short installation and no training.

The deeper work runs through your own logged-in NationBuilder session. The tool holds no key to your nation.

How fast is it?

A single page takes seconds. Twenty pages, each with its own petition and its own wording, take minutes. A complete site is a day's work.

The saving grows with volume, because the twentieth page costs no more than the first. That is how we run twenty local campaigns at once rather than one.

Can AI test a NationBuilder site?

The tool reads back every change once it has made it. Then it walks the site as an ordinary visitor. It completes the forms, receives the emails and reads the pages as the public sees them.

It works just as well on a site the tool did not build. Point it at an existing NationBuilder site and it will tell you which forms are broken, which confirmation emails never arrive, and which pages the public cannot reach.

How the limits hold

The tool records every change as it makes it, and keeps the state before and after. It never overwrites anything without first taking a copy of what was there. So any edit can go back exactly as it stood. You correct a mistake in minutes instead of recovering from it.

The limits are not preferences held by the tool. The system enforces them centrally, and they hold however the tool is instructed. We grant access by key, restrict it to named nations, and withdraw it the moment we should.

Who is it for?

We use it on political campaigns, advocacy campaigns and membership organisations running on NationBuilder. It suits any team that needs NationBuilder work delivered in minutes and cannot accept an AI system holding open access to supporter data.

Availability
